How To Ground Slam Borderlands 3

Borderlands 3 allows you to do a wide variety of things ranging from shooting, driving, melee-ing, running over skags with your vehicles, using your super suit to mow down Maliwan soldiers and more. However, another very important mechanic is the ground slam. The ground slam is move in which your character takes to the air and slams down, damaging everyone in the radius.

It is quite a satisfying move to nail and even easy to do. In this short piece, let us look at how you can ground slam in Borderlands 3.

How To Ground Slam Borderlands 3

Ground slamming in Borderlands 3 is simple. First you need to find a ground high enough for you to jump off from. It won’t happen if you jump up from the ground because there won’t be enough air time. To do this, try to find at least a container or a box to jump off from, there is no fall damage in Borderlands 3 so go nuts.

When you find a high enough ground, press Shift to run and then press the Jump button, usually its Spacebar for most people. When you will be in the air, press the Crouch button which is Ctrl for most folks, when you do, your character hit the ground hard with their melee weapon, creating a small crater near them. This will damage nearby enemies and give you a million cool points in front of your friends.

The damage is not that much but it can be a nice way to make an entrance in any fight. The animation for every character slamming to the ground is different so try it with all.

Does Ground Slamming Damage Vary According To Height?

We don’t believe it does, in addition, the ground slam does miniscule damage so you are better off using your guns instead of slamming on top of enemies. However, it is a great way to instantly get down from the top of a tall surface instead of navigating down one ledge at a time. Consider it an express elevator. There are many artifacts that augment the after effects of a slam, like increase damage given or damage taken.

These artifacts are rare but once you find some of them, they are really good and fun to use. The opinion of the community is that most of them are useless and serve no actual purpose but in general, Borderlands is a franchise that doesn’t take itself too seriously, so you shouldn’t too.
